facebook stuff for posterity, because if someone takes down a post is it lost forever... names were not changes to placate the guilty lol, ill update all posts with as much as i can before deletion.

Does EVERYTHING have to be an argument on FaceBook????? So sick of this DRAMA, DRAMA, DRAMA......"As for me and my House, We will serve the Lord!" The Bible stands as my guideline, and there ain't nothing you can say or do to change my viewpoint,....Love You All, You live your way I will live mine. When it comes down to offending people in my family, or church family that is where I draw the line. This has gone too far.....I will not be part of it. God Bless and have a good day.

  @mom: are you talking about gramndma dot? it was not an argument till 5 minutes ago. "you people" (fundamentalist christians) post lies and try to pass it off as truth, i call "you" on it and thus far the only one showing any sign that they are willing to at least follow the links to sources provided is aunt kathy (as far as our intimate circle goes). can we agree to disagree? yes! yes we can! however that is not what is happening here. and do not confuse the "tone" of my retorts because it is impossible to convey inflection thorough short facebook messages.
  
  @everyone when i started posting and responding to stuff on facebook a couple weeks ago it was and still is my aim to provoke critical thinking. im so tired of the emotionally and mentally lazy attitude i see all over the internet. so here it goes. 
  
  if "people" (fundamentalist christians) keep posting baseless accusations, lies, and what-not while attempting to pass it off as fact, i / we can and will take the time that "they" did not, to look up the info and comment. rather than "people" getting mad that i / we have offered a contrasting viewpoint please... FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!... source your reasons! we all have a responsibility to be fair in these public forums. as irl (in real life) acquaintances, friends and family we do not have the luxury and of anonymity, and that makes it harder for us to speak our minds. i know full well that all of "you" believe leila and i are going to hell... "you" are ENTITLED to your opinion on that. we (all of us everywhere) are ENTITLED to our opinions too. as to offending people. i have the same rights as "you" do to express myself. i'm not sorry that i have offended "people" in by sourcing comments. i told the truth, "they" did not. "they" are tale bearing", gossip mongering, fostering distension, spouting hatred, exclusion and bigotry all stacked on a bible wrapped in a flag. how is that christian? in any stretch of the imagination? this special blend of american fundamentalist xenophobic nationalism is DESTROYING america, and OUR family. i will make SURE that the three little lives i'm responsible for will have an EVEN understanding of this world forged with love and temperance though education not ignorance.
  
  so sit there and grimace at what we say, make your phone calls and send your messages of outrage because you cant face the fact that bigotry rules your life and how it scares you that have no clue how to get it back...
  
  some of you know me well enough by know to know what comes next. I will not cow down to a "bully". i will not let others repress our inalienable rights. unlike most of "you" i fought to keep the stripes on our flag red and to preserve ALL OF OUR RIGHTS under the constitution. i didn't sacrifice 6+ years of my life (the sacrifice of my family not withstanding) with exclusions or qualifications. how many of "you" can say the same?. not many... i can't name 5. and none of them that i can name have participated in any of the debates i have put forth. not only that, i have a challenge for all of "you" how many of you would die for what you believe in? and i don't mean in a metaphorical sense. i mean non life. death.

  regardless of what you think of us, leila and i would go out of our way to help ANY of you in need. without exclusion, without pretense, loathing, fear or conditions, without asking for anything in return because it is simply the right thing to do. so sit there and qualify your love for us and others withe all the self serving rhetoric you can. while you love us "even tho" we are different, we love all of you without prejudice or qualification because there is no space in our hearts for hatred. 
  
  how presumptuous of us to think that in all the ancient cosmos that we are all that is beautiful and perfect. that all this is for us. that out of the last 14 billion years of existence in our 8000 years of understanding, the last 235 years on this stolen turtle in the space our infinitesimal spec of life on this dirt we call america, that we are right about anything... the truth of it all is that we are spinning blindly through space with only the crudest of understanding as to all that is around us. the least we can do is be decent to one another and respect each-others individuality. that much i know. that much i can do.
  
  in closing, i am not mad at anyone and since we all live less than an hour from each other i would be more than happy to sit down and talk with any of you if you would like to vent, ask questions or just hang out and talk.

  Leila Benoit Ok Sandi... Well, I have to assume you're referring in part to the infanticide hoax video I commented on. I guess you took it down? Facebook gives me an error message when I try to get to it. Ok. Here goes. I was not trying to be "argumentative" in anything I said. I understand the confusion because it IS hard to convey inflection via text. I don't really understand how it's offensive when I bring to your attention that something is untrue. I would hate to go on believing something that has already been debunked, and if I found out my friends knew and didn't tell me I'd be a little miffed. Lol. Again; we have not been trying to argue with anyone or "convert" anyone to our side. I don't think asking for people to be honest and source their material so that we can get to the crux of the matter, is offensive or "argumentative." Out of respect for you, we have taken care to source all our material before we post it. But it's offensive and argumentative for us to ask you to do the same, to be sure you're posting things that are real, instead of slander, rumor and untruth? I just do not understand. I'm sorry you took it that way. I would never have thought to classify critical thinking as "drama." I also thought that if someone posted something to Facebook, it was an invitation to talk about it. I didn't realize that sometimes people only want to have their views validated and are not looking for conversation. Anyway. Be assured that we weren't trying to fight or "argue." We were just trying to ask people to fact check what they were posting, and to post things that build up rather than tear down. Now that I see that is not welcome, I won't bother anymore. But if you come to my Facebook page, which all are welcome to do, be prepared to think critically and present a defense for what you say.
